The Xiaomi Mi Basic 2s haven’t changed much in terms of design. We still have an Earbud design that is fully blacked out. Only the back, where the button is usually found, has been replaced with a glossy touch surface. In terms of weight, there isn’t much of a difference; they’re said to weigh only 0.2 g more, which most people won’t notice. There are, however, advancements in charging choices and battery capacity. Not only do the Earbuds now charge through USB-C (which makes Alex pleased), but the charging box has been upgraded to 600 mAh from 300 mAh. As a result, you can probably charge the headphones two times longer. The same 7.2 mm dynamic drivers that we saw on the Redmi Air Dots 2 are utilized here. As a result, we should expect a similar sound here. However, we now have a game option, which is claimed to lower the headphones’ latency dramatically. As a result, sound-image synchronization in games and media should be significantly better. The touch control of the headphones, which replaces the traditional button control, is an entirely new function. It can be used to pause or resume playing, accept or reject a call, activate a voice assistant, or activate gaming mode. There’s no mention of skipping tracks or altering the volume, but neither of these features were present in the predecessor. Additionally, there is now a wear detecting feature that pauses playback when you remove the headphones and resumes when you put them back on. This is a feature that is lacking in the low-cost segment. On current MIUI devices, a pop-up should appear, displaying the current battery state of the headphones and charging box.
