Earbuds estimates the FlyBuds 3's battery life to be approximately 5 hours on a single charge, with an additional 95 hours (not a typo) in the charging case. The FlyBuds 3 is compatible with Bluetooth 5.0, and it supports the AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs. However, it does not support AptX. The case numbers are fantastic, but those single-charge numbers are typical. Depending on the volume you use, your results will vary.
The charging case is a large, rounded, flip-top rectangle with a rounded top. It is heavier and bulkier than most of the cases we've tested, which is understandable. In addition to providing all those additional charging hours, the 2,600 mAh built-in battery in the case also serves as a charger for your mobile devices when they run out of juice, a feature that is uncommon for true wireless earphones. We would prefer a more rubberized and easy-to-grip exterior for the case's exterior, but again, at this price, we can let a lot go. The USB and USB-C ports are protected by a rubber snap-shut cover; a short USB-C to USB cable is included. The USB-C port is used to charge external devices. There are battery status LEDs above the port, and a battery status button is next to the port.
Would it be too much to ask for an app with EQ? As a result, you won't be able to use features like an EQ to control the distinctively sculpted sound.
The microphone provides adequate clarity. Utilizing the Voice Notices application on an iPhone 8, we could comprehend each word we recorded without issue. The mix contains some of the typical Bluetooth distortion, and the mic signal is a little fainter than it should be, but these are typical of true wireless in-ear mics. On a clear connection, your call partner shouldn't have any trouble understanding you.
The FlyBuds 3 have a powerful low frequency response on tracks like The Knife's "Silent Shout," which have a lot of subbass content. The track's deep bass is delivered without distortion at high, unwise listening levels, and the lows are still strongly represented at moderate levels. Certainly, this is the sound of a bass lover.
